Training Facilities
HDC International Training Centre was established in 2009 and is directly involved in training of our company and third-party personnel in Ukraine and worldwide missions.
HDC International has been involved in clearing many areas around the world in the past from cluster munitions, minefields, ERW and explosive ordnance of many kinds. Trainees benefit from being involved in what feels like a ‘live training process’, as many of the scenarios we simulate for the students are very realistic or did, in fact, occur on the very locations where we practice tasks with the students. Those who join us for the rigorous training see first-hand the work that is undertaken to mitigate casualties and to facilitate full land release.
Our facilities and infrastructure are geared towards an enjoyable training experience. The town of Kyiv has much to offer with restaurants, a brewery, places of interest and places of worship for all faiths. The countryside is breathtakingly beautiful, and there is abundant wildlife in the surrounding forests. Our training centre caters for all the essentials with excellent, wholesome meals, adaptable to special dietary requirements, where you will find ‘like-minded’ company. The site is fully secure and has cable TV and full internet access and WIFI throughout all the built-up areas.
Our training centre is situated in Kyiv, Ukraine, at the picturesque place on the outskirts of Kyiv, just on the territory of the company.
It consists of:
- specially equipped classroom,
- training field on the territory of SC Ukroboronservice, and
- demolition site
HDC International has exclusive use of a fully licensed explosives demolitions range close to our establishment in Kyiv, just 40 kilometres away from it. There, IMAS EOD level 3 and 3+ students are able to conduct ‘live’ demolition training on a wide range of UXO targets from grenades to 250 Kg bombs.
Our range is available all year round. We are confident that no one in the HMA industry currently offers this capability backed by HMA experts who can provide guidance, advice in support of any R&D and T&E while also providing range support to ensure a client achieves their objective. In addition, HDC International can offer additional support in the manufacture and supply of resources and energetic targets in support of R&D and T&E projects.
Moreover, one of our ranges is used for the delivery of our Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) courses where the Ammunition Storage Areas (ASA) within the facility are utilised for the enhancement of realistic training
