Requirements to Trainees
- IED Awareness certificate or proven practical experience.
- Medical certificate.
- Criminal record.
Format
Course consists from lectures, practical exercises, live demolitions and evaluation tests.
Result
After successfully passing final test student will receive ROV Operator Certificate.
This 5-day ROV course is to instruct the student in the safe deployment of Remotely Operated Vehicles or Bomb Disposal Robots as a remote option during Render Safe Procedures, and to conduct Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance (EOR).
This course has been designed along proven lines. Students are assessed by written examination and practical assessment. Assessment on the use of the ROV, associated equipment and procedures is based on the organisational policy used by candidates during the conduct of their duties and operations
